Decree No. 896 of the President of the Russian Federation dated December 8, 2025, “On the Strategy for the Development of Healthcare in the Russian Federation through 2030” was published.
Указ_президента_РФ_О_Стратегии_развития_здравоохранения_в_РФ_наAccording to the text of the Decree on the state of national security in the area of public health protection (p. 3): “7) protein consumption by citizens has increased while carbohydrate consumption has decreased. At the same time, due to persistent poor dietary habits and insufficient physical activity, the number of citizens aged 19 and older suffering from obesity has increased to 25.5% by 2024.”
Also noted among the threats to national security in the area of public health protection (p. 7) are: “8) insufficient quality of raw materials for the production of healthy foods, dietary and medicinal products, and specialized therapeutic nutrition products.”
