Danone Opens a Laboratory in Paris to Expand Gut Health Innovation
The new laboratory is located in the Paris-Saclay research and innovation cluster in the south of the French capital, which is also home to Paris-Saclay University and the Institut Polytechnique de Paris. The laboratory will become a global hub for research in the fields of the gut microbiome, nutrition, and digital health.
Building on the foundation of the OneBiome laboratory launched in Singapore and focused on understanding the early stages of life, the Paris-Saclay site expands Danone’s scientific capabilities to accelerate the development of targeted nutrition solutions.
The laboratory combines cutting-edge microbiology, artificial intelligence, and data science to study how gut health impacts overall health and well-being. The launch of this project reflects growing industry and consumer interest in the microbiome—a field in which Danone has been active for over a century.
