ChatGPT vs. Dietitians

A significant portion of the population relies on the Internet for nutritional information, and in most cases the source of information is not reliable. Using chatbots like ChatGPT allows you to get information synthesized from a variety of sources, which makes this method of finding answers to questions more promising.

In a recent study, Dutch scientists compared the answers given by 20 nutritionists and ChatGPT to the most popular questions about nutrition. The answers were assessed according to three criteria: “Scientific correctness”, “Understandability” and “Effectiveness”, each component was rated on a 10-point scale.

In most cases, ChatGPT received higher scores than specialists. For some questions, there were no differences in ratings.
