Baby food against allergies

In Russia, about 750 thousand children need special food with reduced allergenicity. As a rule, these are products from hydrolysates of milk proteins, that is, broken down and easily digestible compounds. But 96% of such products are now imported from Western countries, and another 3% from Belarus. In Russia, they are produced only by the Infaprim and Farmalakt factories, and until recently the production of hydrolysates was not established at all.

Now the Research Institute of Baby Nutrition has developed technologies for the production of this raw material. Using enzyme hydrolysis, heat treatment and filtration, some of the milk proteins in products are replaced with whey protein hydrolysates. As a result, the allergenicity of such products is reduced. Scientists are also working on creating hypoallergenic products for children aged three years and older, as well as dietary formulas for infants.
