The government approved the changes in Rules for labeling dairy products

🥛The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade has developed a mechanism that, until April 1, 2024, allows the sale of labeled dairy products with unreadable means of identification in an amount of no more than 2% of the total number of units of dairy products sold by a retail trade organization during the month.

🔄If the identification device on dairy products cannot be read at the checkout, then in this case, the retail trade organization at the time of payment for it can transmit information about the product and the production date of each unit of such dairy products to the labeling information system.

☝️In addition, the receipt by the Labeling System Operator of this information will allow us to record and analyze errors in the labeling process for further improvement with manufacturers.

☑️The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, together with Operator-CRPT and representatives of dairy producers and retailers, is continuously working to minimize the risks of the appearance of labeled dairy products with unreadable means of identification, analyzing each individual case in detail.

The adopted temporary measure will allow us to refine the current processes for labeling dairy products and reduce the costs of conscientious representatives of the business community.
