The list of specialized therapeutic nutrition products for children with disabilities can now be updated twice a year, that is, twice as often as at present. This decree was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
“The decision will make it possible to include new therapeutic food products needed by children with serious illnesses into the list twice as quickly. Such products are purchased at the expense of the federal budget, and then issued free of charge with a prescription from the attending physician, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported (https://tass.ru/obschestvo/18074577).
The list is compiled by a special commission of the Russian Ministry of Health with the participation of the chief freelance specialist of the Russian Ministry of Health in medical genetics, Sergei Kutsev. Then the document is approved by the Government of the Russian Federation. Now there are more than 100 items on this list.
