RUDN students created a home “deficitometer”

A device for determining the deficiency of vitamins in the body should reduce the spread of obesity and eating disorders. The principle of operation is approximately the same as that of a conventional household glucometer.

The complex consists of a pen for piercing the skin on the finger and the apparatus itself, which analyzes the composition of the blood for excess or lack of vitamins and microelements. Along the way, he measures the level of sugar. All information is uploaded to the mobile application, which recommends menus for the week based on the data received.

The authors intend to test the laboratory sample for 2 years. The start of production is scheduled for 2025. The development team plans to create a portable saliva analyzer to determine the state of the oral cavity and the general condition of the body.
