Insects for food?

The European Union expands the use of insects as food for the population: in January, the first permits were issued for the supply to the EU market of products from domestic cricket (Acheta domesticus) and mealy beetle larvae (Alphitobius diaperinus)

Flour from these types of insects can be used in the preparation of bread, biscuits, pasta, etc. Food products containing such raw materials in their composition will be labeled with a warning about possible allergies.
