It is calculated based on data on milk prices in the regions, taking into account the region’s share in the rating of raw milk industrial consumption and the import price indicator.
The import price index is determined on the basis of the prices of key exchange—traded dairy products – SOM, SCM, butter, cheese and whey powder. The prices of imported dairy products are calculated taking into account the prices of dairy products of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUTB) and prices at the Trigona Dairy Trade and GlobalDairyTrade sites.
The data is provided by companies participating in the milk market through the Index DIA service (available for iOS and android). In order to avoid mistakes and unfair games, the program does not take into account price indicators if it is 30% higher or lower than the market. Companies are required to update the data every three days.
