On March 1, 2022, the Commission of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation for Economic Development and Corporate Social Responsibility held a round table meeting on the topic “Regulation of Internet commerce: issues of competition and consumer protection”
The round table discussed the following issues:
• Most citizens do not care about maintaining their health
• Many citizens are unable to buy food essential for health
• There are harmful, counterfeit, and falsified food products on sale, incl. non-compliant TR TS
• Drugs are sold under the guise of food
• There is advertising of food products with unconfirmed effectiveness of the properties of these products
• The production of food ingredients and substances on the territory of the Russian Federation is practically not developed, and the cost of many food products on the Russian market is overstated
• Citizens do not feel the social responsibility of the state for their life in the field of food products turnover
