In accordance with Article 6 of the Федерального закона от 17.07.1999 № 178-ФЗ “О государственной социальной площади”, it is provided for the provision of disabled children with orphan diseases with specialized health food products included in the list annually approved by order of the Government of the Russian Federation.
Orphan diseases are those that have a prevalence of less than 10 cases per 100,000 population.
At the end of last year, a list of specialized therapeutic food products for children with disabilities for 2022 was approved, which included 94 specialized therapeutic food products.

The organization of providing disabled children with medical nutrition is carried out in accordance with Article 16 of the Федерального закона от 21 ноября 2011 г. N 323-ФЗ “Об основах охраны здоровья граждан в Российской Федерации” and belongs to the powers of state authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
